Los Angeles – Jakob Goldfarb and Spencer Steer drove in three runs apiece and Ryne Nelson came in to get the save in Oregon's 10-7 Pac-12 Conference win over USC at Dedeaux Field on Saturday.
How it Happened: Oregon put four runs on the board in the top of the first inning on just one hit. The first two batters, Sam Novitske and Tanner Smith, both walked before Spencer Steer put the Ducks on the board with an RBI single.
Gabe Matthews plated Smith with a sacrifice fly and then Steer scored from first on an error by Trojans' first baseman Clay Owens on a Jonny DeLuca hard hit ball down the first-base line.
