Although the structure of UCLA’s offense has changed under OC Bienemy – a marriage of spread and pro-style concepts with a few RPOs thrown in and rather complex playcalls, as opposed to former head coach Chip Kelly’s torrid rushing playbook and heterodox single-read pass patterns – the fundamental passing effectiveness has stayed pretty much identical in the new season compared to last year.
