LOS ANGELES – Behind a stellar night in the circle by Jordan Dail and four runs in the final two innings by the offense, the Oregon softball team handed No. 1 UCLA its first Pac-12 loss of the season with a 4-3 comeback victory on Friday night at Easton Stadium.
Dail struck out 12 in a masterful performance against the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, and the Ducks (17-19, 2-8 Pac-12) took the lead in the sixth on a clutch two-run home run by April Utecht before adding an important insurance run in the seventh on a solo home run from Rachel Cid.
