When Oregon State opens the 2018 season at Ohio State on Sept. 1, Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer won't be on the sideline.
Ohio State slapped Meyer with a three-game suspension for the way he mishandled domestic violence allegations against former assistant Zach Smith.
Actually, it appears "mishandling" is a gentle interpretation of Meyer's behavior.
It appears Meyer completely dropped the ball by seeming to violate school policy requiring him to report allegations of domestic abuse by a university employee should he become aware of them.
Allegations against Smith go back to 2009, when Smith worked for Meyer at Florida.
