Every year during the college recruiting cycle, a handful of the nation's elite prospects remain on the board with a week until Signing Day.
And every year, those prospects become the central focus of college football fans around the country.
This year, the Oregon Ducks find themselves squarely in the mix for a number of four-star prospects in the final days of the 2018 recruiting cycle, but none more significant than Under Armour All-American athlete Devon Williams, ESPN's No. 16 prospect nationally.
Down to a final 2 of Oregon and USC, Williams was listed Tuesday as a "must-have" prospect for the Ducks by Rivals recruiting expert Adam Gorney.
