EUGENE -- When Oregon baseball coach George Horton met with the media Tuesday afternoon, he was asked a simple question: How are you doing?
This was three days after Oregon State completed its three-game sweep of the Ducks in Eugene, a trio of wins that all but assured Oregon's absence from the postseason for a second straight year. A day after the sweep, talk of Horton's job status swirled around the state as the coach, in the final year of his contract, addressed the topic following Saturday's loss.
"People talk about how it hasn't been renewed yet, but I don't lie awake at night wondering if I'll have a job," Horton said.
