Kansas City special teams weapon and former Oregon Ducks star DeAnthony Thomas was significantly injured in the first half of Kansas City's regular season finale against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Thomas received a kickoff and was brought down awkwardly on the return at the five yard line as the tackler rolled him on the play. The training staff placed an aircast on his leg indicating that the injury could be a serious knee issue or a broken leg. Kansas City has announced that Thomas will not return to the game but no other information was provided by the team.
