The Oregon Ducks racked up 16 hits and left-hander David Peterson led a solid pitching effort as the 22nd-ranked Ducks beat No. 7 Arizona 8-4 on Thursday night in Tucson, Arizona.
Peterson improved to 8-1 after allowing two unearned runs and five hits and striking out five across six innings of work.
Matthew Dyer and Morgan McCullough each hit triples in the second inning to get the Ducks started offensively. Dyer scored on Tim Susnara's RBI single, while McCullough's triple scored Susnara and Taylor Travess, and Oregon led 3-0.
