STOCKTON, Calif. – Sophomore Jordan Dail threw her second no-hitter of the season on Wednesday night to get the Oregon softball team back to its winning ways in a 5-0 victory over Pacific at Bill Simoni Field.
Dail (10-8) struck out a career-high 13 batters and allowed just two runners to get into scoring position all night in her second no-hitter and third complete-game shutout of the year. The Ducks (12-16) snapped a 12-game skid with the win and got a stretch of 11 straight road games off to a strong start.
How it Happened: Dail walked her second batter of the night, but she struck out the next hitter and Shaye Bowden threw the runner out trying to steal to end the opening frame.
