EUGENE, Ore. – Sophomore Jordan Dail has been named the Pac-12 pitcher of the week for the second time this season after a phenomenal weekend against California, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Dail was near flawless all weekend, holding the Golden Bears scoreless over 20.2 total innings while racking up 22 strikeouts and allowing just 13 hits. The left-hander threw back-to-back complete-game shutouts to lead the Ducks to the series win before throwing 6.2 shutout innings of relief in the finale.
The Forest, Va., native recorded 11 strikeouts in a 1-0 win on Thursday, including 10 with runners in scoring position.
