SAN FRANCISCO – Following a monster weekend at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Oregon senior center fielder Haley Cruse was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week Tuesday, the league announced.
Cruse led all players in the elite 29-team field at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a .667 batting average (12-for-18), along with a tournament-best .684 on-base percentage and 10 runs scored. She also drove in six runs while finishing with two doubles and two triples, accounting for 16 of Oregon's 39 runs scored over the weekend.
The San Diego, Calif. native turned in three straight three-hit games to start the weekend, going 3-for-4 against Bethune-Cookman, Mississippi State and Notre Dame.
