The Oregon Ducks had a strong showing at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Madison, Wis., with the women’s team finishing fifth, their best result since earning bronze in 2018. The men’s team, buoyed by standout performances, secured a 14th-place finish, improving on their national ranking.
The women’s team was led by a trio of All-Americans: Silan Ayyildiz, Maddy Elmore, and Anika Thompson, all of whom finished in the top 40. On the men’s side, Aiden Smith earned All-America honors in his debut national meet. These accolades marked the first cross-country All-American honors for all four Ducks.
