We're just a day and a half into the World Indoor Track & Field Championships, and there already has been a year's worth of controversy.
Start with Thursday's finish of the women's 3,000 meters, where Genzebe Dibaba repeated as world indoor champion and the Nike Oregon Project's Sifan Hassan finished second.
Many observers called for Hassan, who runs for the Netherlands. to be disqualified for veering from the inside of lane 1 to the outside of lane 2 on the home straight. That forced the hard-closing Laura Muir of Britain further out. Muir would finish third.
