CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The Oregon softball team scored five runs in the final two innings to come roaring back from a 5-2 deficit and defeat Texas A&M, 7-5, on Saturday in the first of two games for the Ducks on day three of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
Facing a quick turnaround after the comeback victory, the Ducks dropped their second game of the day, 5-0, to No. 23 Texas Tech to move to 10-4 overall and 3-2 on the weekend with one game remaining in Cathedral City.
GAME ONE – OREGON 7, TEXAS A&M 5
How it Happened: Sophomore Shaye Bowden gave Oregon an early 2-0 lead over the Aggies (9-5) in the first, driving a two-run double into the left-center field gap after a walk by Haley Cruse and a single by Rachel Cid.
