CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Oregon nearly came back from an early deficit but ultimately came up short in a 4-2 loss to Tulsa to open play at the ITA Kickoff Weekend Friday morning.
How it Happened: After dropping the doubles point and the first two singles matches, Oregon battled back in the second half of singles play. Freshman made quick work of her opponent in her first collegiate match, winning 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot to put the Ducks on the board. and then forced third sets at the No. 1 and 3 spots after dropping their first sets to extend the match.
