STANFORD, Calif. – Oregon battled from start to finish on the road against No. 2 Stanford before seeing a comeback bid ultimately come up just short in an 80-68 loss Friday in the Pac-12 opener.
"I was proud of our team," said head coach Kelly Graves. "I was proud of our effort, our grit and our toughness. We got down 18 at one point and fought back, but maybe just didn't get the shots that we wanted to. I'm okay with this, we just need to keep playing that hard."
The Ducks' All-Pac-12 trio of Te-Hina Paopao, Endyia Rogers and Nyara Sabally were in the starting lineup together for the first time this year and combined to score 55 points.
