Former Oregon Ducks tight end Colt Lyerla was sentenced to six months in jail Wednesday after he admitted to using fake $50 bills at 7-Eleven and Dotty's deli.
Lyerla, 24, pleaded guilty to first- and second-degree forgery as part of a plea agreement. A heroin possession charge and additional forgery accusations were dropped.
Washington County Circuit Judge Suzanne Upton ordered him to serve one year of probation after his release and participate in a substance abuse treatment program.
Lyerla must pay $150 in restitution to 7-Eleven and Oregon Restaurant Services, Inc., which owns the Dotty's deli chain.
