The story of former Oregon Tight End Colt Lyerla continues to go down a path that no one wants to see. According to the Oregonian, he attempted to flee but was captured and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The report said a bystander called police about a man overdosing on drugs, but there is not specific clarification that it was Lyerla.
Colt Lyerla has been arrested twice this year for forgery and drug possession and the chance to get clean have passed him by more than once. On top of the charges already against him, he now faces a felony second-degree escape charge.
