SALT LAKE CITY – Freshman Rachel Cid went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs on Saturday afternoon to lead the Oregon softball team to a 9-4 win over Utah in game two of the three-game series at Dumke Family Softball Stadium.
The Ducks pulled even in the series with the Utes and stayed alive in their quest to reach .500 and become eligible for the NCAA Tournament. Oregon (22-26, 5-15) will go for the series win over Utah in the rubber match on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened: The Ducks' offense got off to a fast start in the top of the first as Allee Bunker, Shaye Bowden and Cid hit back-to-back-to-back doubles to give Oregon an early 2-0 lead.
