Christian Coleman obliterated a world record and Shelby Houlihan uncorked another devastating kick as the USATF Indoor Track & Field Championship closed with flourish Sunday in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Coleman won the men's 60-meter final in 6.34 seconds, crushing the record of 6.39 Maurice Greene had held since 1998.
After turning to look at his time in the Albuquerque Convention Center, Coleman bounded joyfully down the track.
"My hip was bothering me a little bit," Coleman said in a postrace television interview. "But I like big races like this. ... It just felt like a blur.
