EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon junior Taylor Chocek sits in ninth place overall, and fourth among collegians, after day one of the heptathlon at the 63rd Mt. SAC Relays. Through four events, she has 3,408 points which surpasses her previous day-one best of 3,338 points from last year's Bryan Clay Invitational.
The Eugene, Ore., native is one of nine collegians in the 16-woman field that includes 2021 Olympians Annie Kunz and Erica Bougard.
Chocek got her week started by approaching the 1,000-point mark with a lifetime best of 13.87 in the 100-meter hurdles.
