EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon track and field student-athletes Edward Cheserek and Jenna Prandini were named to the Academic All-America Second Team, Wednesday.
Cheserek, a sophomore, currently holds a 3.34 GPA while pursuing a degree in pre-business administration. He is a nine-time NCAA Champion in track and field and cross country, the most in school history. Cheserek closed the 2015 season with two national championships at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, making five total for the 2014-15 season after winning the Cross Country national title and two NCAA Indoor titles.
Cheserek is the 24th Man of Oregon to make an Academic All-America team.
