Over the past month I have gone through the statistical performance of several Oregon programs to see how they compare to their (former) Pac-12 conference peers. But several of the Ducks’ programs have national aspirations beyond finishing near the top of their conference. I decided to investigate the statistical performances of teams who were in contention for titles the past 5 full seasons (2020 is excluded from this project for obvious reasons). This week, we take a look Softball.
I collected pitching and hitting data from Softball Statline for all 40 teams who made the Women’s College World Series in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
