Jim McElwain was barely out at Florida and already some had Oregon Ducks coach Willie Taggart penciled in as his replacement with the Gators in Gainesville. Makes some sense. Taggart has a growing profile, a solid connection in Florida and a pile of recruits he could easily flip.
Taggart would be a turn-key hire for Florida.
That spilled over, naturally, to Taggart's Monday news conference in Eugene. And if you're like me you knew exactly what you wanted to hear from from the Ducks first-year coach.
I wanted, "I have zero interest in Florida.
