My biggest takeaway from Wednesday's National Signing Day wasn't about talent, but posture. As in the defensive stance that Oregon football coach Willie Taggart took after unveiling his first recruiting class.
Taggart has had a few rough, but determined, strides out of the gate. He was hired, won the initial news conference by knockout, blistered the recruiting trail, but also, suffered the equivalent of running into a closed sliding glass door with a couple of incidents involving his coaching staff.
What I wanted from Taggart on Wednesday was more of the, "Make no excuses. Blame no one.
