LOS ANGELES, Calif. – UCLA batted around twice and held Oregon to just one run on five hits as the Bruins beat the Ducks, 13-1, to complete the three-game sweep at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Sunday.
How It Happened: For the second time in the series, UCLA (19-18, 9-9 Pac-12) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Third baseman Luke Persico opened the scoring with a two-run home run off starter David Peterson (3-3), and the Bruins followed with a walk, two hits and a RBI fielder’s choice to complete the four-run inning, sending 10 men to the plate.
