EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon sophomore Dillon Brooks was named Pac-12 player of the week Monday, for his efforts in the Ducks’ road sweep of the Arizona schools last week.
Brooks averaged 21 points per game on 50 percent shooting in Oregon’s victories Thursday at Arizona and Sunday at Arizona State. For leading the first sweep by a Pac-12 team in Arizona since 2012, Brooks became the Ducks’ first conference player of the week of the 2015-16 season.
Also Monday, Oregon moved up to No. 16 in The Associated Press top 25 and No. 17 according to the coaches’ poll.
