EUGENE -- It's been hot and muggy in Eugene over the last two weeks and Brenden Schooler is trying to learn a new position, so you'll excuse him for walking around shoeless from time to time.
Most recently it was Thursday afternoon, when the former defensive back and new Oregon wide receiver met with the media before practice, in full pads, sans cleats.
"They're drying out right now," the sophomore said. "They were soaking last night."
Schooler would eventually slip back into his Nike's before the afternoon's practice, where he would once again soak them as he tried to play catchup under the summer sun.
