NEW YORK, N.Y. – Following back-to-back productive seasons in 2017 and 2018, Oregon senior Jacob Breeland was named to the John Mackey Award watch list on Friday. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
Breeland finished the 2018 season with a career-high 24 receptions for a career-best 377 yards and two touchdowns. The senior was third on the team in catches, while ranking fourth among Pac-12 Conference tight ends.
In 2017, Breeland had 18 receptions for 320 yards and a career-high five touchdowns, which tied for the Pac-12 lead among tight ends.
