When Tigard senior Braden Lenzy first suffered a knee injury during the Tigers' 25-16 loss to Sherwood, he believed his final prep season had come to a painful, premature end.
On Tuesday evening, the 247Sports four-star prospect and Oregon Ducks pledge learned his high school career wasn't over yet.
Lenzy was diagnosed with a partially torn MCL. The injury will not require surgery and he is expected to return in three-to-four weeks.
For the two-way standout, the opportunity to return this season was a welcomed surprise.
"Praise God," Lenzy said. "To be honest, I've thought in my head over the years what would I think about if I went down with a knee injury and I always thought I'd think of college ball.
