This was not at all how Bol Bol had planned the NBA Draft to go for him. He was a preseason Top 10 projected pick but a foot injury early in the season hurt his draft stock. Regardless, in no imaginable world did I think it would drop him all the way down to the middle of the 2nd round.
The 7’2”, 7’5” wingspan, 225 pound center wasn’t chosen until the 44th pick by the Miami Heat and even then, they didn’t want him as he was traded to the Denver Nuggets.
I see the cons with not wanting to draft Bol (a big man with a foot injury, underweight for an NBA center) but it’s pretty hard to pass up on a guy that size with that set of skills.
