NEW YORK -- A poor performance by No. 13 Oregon in a 77-69 loss to Iowa on Thursday was nearly disastrous as freshman center Bol Bol repeatedly left the game during the second half with an apparent right calf injury.
The 7-foot-2 Bol appeared to suffer the injury after catching a long ball near the basket and attempting to get a shot off before going out of bounds. He left the game shortly after and a trainer stretched him right leg below the knee and applied an ointment. Bol returned for a few minutes only to leave with the same issues, returned again and then left the game for a third and final time.
