Anson Aroz ignited the Ducks’ offense with a two-run homer in the first inning and added an RBI single during a four-run second inning. The Ducks faced not only the Aggies but also sweltering conditions that felt like over 100 degrees due to humidity and a vocal crowd of 7,835 at Blue Bell Park.
Mason Neville led off the game with a single, followed by Aroz’s fifth home run of the year, a deep shot to left field. In the bottom of the inning, UO starter RJ Gordon walked two of the first three hitters, and an RBI single cut the lead to 2-1.
