Only having scored two runs in a loss to USC that kept them from a series sweep on Sunday, Oregon had nary an issue offensively as they belted six homers in a 14-9 shootout against Gonzaga Tuesday afternoon in Eugene.
Sophomore pitcher Ian Umlandt, who allowed four runs through seven innings against Sacramento State a week ago, held Gonzaga to two runs on three hits in six innings of play. Umlandt, who only appeared in relief last season, was making his second start of 2024. He has credited a change in diet and sleeping habits for his increased production so far.
