Barcelona's hopes of a domestic double were extinguished on Saturday after a 2-1 defeat to Valencia in the Copa del Rey final.
The Blaugrana, who locked up the league title back in April, were looking for a second straight sweep of Spanish titles at the Benito Villamarín in Seville. But first-half goals from Kevin Gameiro and Rodrigo put them under deep pressure heading into the break and Lionel Messi's strike with 17 minutes remaining wasn't enough as Valencia held on for their eighth Copa crown.
Barcelona were lucky not to be down after just five minutes when a bad giveaway from Clement Lenglet played Rodrigo into the box with only Jasper Cillessen to beat.
