EUGENE -- Braxton Burmeister is still the starting quarterback at Oregon, which can make days like Tuesday feel a bit off.
Justin Herbert is nearing a return from his broken collarbone. Videos are flying around social media of the sophomore quarterback throwing 30-yard touchdowns to receivers at practice and speculation as to when he'll return abounds with Duck fans.
That leaves an awkward situation for Burmeister, who will likely start again this week against Utah, as he tries to improve in this weekly trial by fire.
When Herbert returns, Burmeister will reprise his role on the sideline, where his development into a successful college quarterback can happen behind the scenes.
