Are big-play V.A. and that leaky Oregon secondary ready for prime time?

We’ll know more in 36 hours, but there’s hope for the Oregon secondary.

In 2011 injuries forced John Neal to start two freshman cornerbacks against USC, and Matt Barkley, Marqise Lee and Robert Woods torched the Ducks for 323 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 38-35 upset victory that cost the Ducks a shot at chance at a return to the national championship game.

Terrence Mitchell and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu went on to become one of the best coverage tandems in school history, and the Ducks won their third straight PAC-12 championship, beating Russell Wilson and Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl that year.
