EUGENE, Ore. – Three programs in the Oregon athletic department posted a multiyear APR score of a perfect 1,000 for the four years ending in 2015-2016, according to data released Wednesday by the NCAA.
The NCAA's Academic Progress Rate measures eligibility, retention and graduation of student-athletes. A perfect score is 1,000, with data released annually for the latest single year – in this case 2015-16 – and also a rolling four-year average through that most recent year. A four-year average of 930 is necessary to compete in NCAA championships.
The three UO programs to post a perfect average were women's golf, men's tennis and beach volleyball – Oregon's fledgling beach volleyball program having submitted APR data for the first time in 2015-16.
