Amid knee rehab, Oregon's Pharaoh Brown remains confident: 'I will play football again'

EUGENE -- Pharaoh Brown's recovery from massive knee surgery isn't over yet. Not even close.

But neither, he says, is his football career.

"I will play football again," the Oregon tight end said Friday, smiling underneath a red sweatshirt outside the Casanova Center training room that has become a second home. "I will be out on the field. It's just a matter of when."

Brown injured ligaments in his right knee in November during Oregon's victory at Utah and underwent three major surgeries to stabilize the leg after a "stretched" artery cut blood flow off below his knee and nearly led to an amputation.
