RIO DE JANEIRO – Sophomore Devon Allen garnered another top-five finish for the University of Oregon, while yet another UO undergrad qualified for an Olympic final Tuesday night at the Summer Games in Rio.
Running in his first Olympic final, Allen finished fifth in the men's 110-meter hurdles in 13.31.
His training partner, former Duck Johnathan Cabral, now running for Canada, was sixth in 13.40.
The two Ducks survived a challenging semifinal earlier on Tuesday just to make the final. Allen and Cabral found themselves in the fastest semifinal heat on Tuesday.
