A couple things ...
-- I chatted with Nike Oregon Project coach Alberto Salazar for a few minutes last night about the upcoming Boston Marathon.
Salazar coaches Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay, two runners who figure to be among the contenders in Monday's race.
He likes Rupp's chances. Unlike last year, when Rupp was battling plantar fascia issues, the ex-University of Oregon star has had a healthy build up.
"This is as good as he's ever been prepared for a marathon," Salazar said. "Anything can happen. You can have bad luck. But by far this is the best preparation he's ever had in terms of being really prepared and not spreading himself too thin.
