EUGENE -- In some ways, Tyler Shough's initial college experience wasn't so different than his peers'.
When he enrolled at Oregon this winter, the 6-foot-5 freshman quarterback did his best to get comfortable in Eugene. He learned where his classes were, met some new friends and was a frequent visitor at Matthew Knight Arena for basketball games.
"That was the big thing," Shough said on Tuesday. "Once you come here you want to get engrained in the culture. You want to experience new things and get to as many events as you can and have fun. You're in college.
