After pounding Oregon on the ground, Utah won the game in the air with backup QB

SALT LAKE CITY -- After Oregon took lead, Utah asked its backup quarterback, making his first career start, to win the game in the air.

Jason Shelley did just that for the Utes.

Shelley went 18 of 31 for 262 yards, including 3 for 4 for 60 yards before running in a two-yard touchdown to give Utah the lead back for good in a 32-25 win over Oregon at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday.

"He is a confident kid and a tremendous athlete," Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said. "If you are first team all-state in Texas for basketball, baseball and football, at least he said he did, you have one heck of an athlete.
