After encouraging day for Oregon's short-handed safeties, Ducks now seek an encore

EUGENE -- Oregon's safeties entered last week with questions. Ultimately, they emerged as confident as ever.

They're hoping the same cycle repeats itself this week.

One week after UO's short-handed safety group showed its depth in a 45-24 win against California, they now face the ultimate test for a defensive back -- defending an Air Raid offense designed by Washington State coach Mike Leach and executed by Luke Falk, the leading active passer in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

"I'm pretty excited to see what their offense is like on the field," said redshirt freshman Brady Breeze, whose UO debut came just three weeks ago, "because watching it is a little different.
