Dana Altman was on the Matthew Knight Arena practice courts last week, telling media how he had imposed a two-week break for his players following their Elite Eight loss to Oklahoma.

Some of the Ducks, he was saying, weren’t thrilled with the prospect of going two weeks without getting up jumpers, or lifting weights. But Altman wanted them to get a break before the beginning of a seven-week offseason lifting program, which began Monday.

Altman had his meeting with the media 12 days removed from the loss to the Sooners -- two days shy of two weeks out.
