Hailassie was a three star cornerback recruit from Cosumnes HS in California. He played both ways in high school as a receiver and cornerback in the 2018 class.
Oregon has him listed for participating in three games this season, preserving his redshirt after playing in all 13 games last season as a true freshman. In case that some folks aren’t aware of the new changes to the redshirt rule enacted last season, the rule states that players have RS eligibility after partaking in four games.
