Just like the WNBA Draft last week, there was no podium, no crowds and the pomp and circumstance was from family members as the first round of the NFL Draft took place on Thursday night. The first part of round one went pretty much as predicted.
Hometown hero Joe Burrow was selected by Cincinnati as the top pick. Quarterbacks were among the top picks. Tua Tagovailoa went to the Miami Dolphins with the fifth overall pick before Justin Herbert was selected sixth by the Los Angeles Chargers. It has been a busy week for Herbert. He also signed several endorsement deals with both Nike and Head and Shoulders.
