Just as the Decathalon was the story of the 2012 Olympic Trials for Eugene’s Ashton Eaton, the 110 Meter Hurdles may be the highlight moment for Oregon in the 2016 Olympic Track and Field Trials. Allen ran a near perfect race clipping just three hurdles and picking up his pace in the end for a finish in 13.13 seconds, the second best in the World this year in the event.
Devon Allen will lead the team to Rio for the Olympic Games. The ninth day of competition also saw a near nabbing of the third spot of the 5000 Meter final at the finish line by Erik Jenkins.
