EUGENE, Ore. – One of the best rivalries in the NBA used to be the series between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle Supersonics. The Oregon cross country teams will look to revive the “I-5 Rivalry” with half of their races in the Seattle area for the upcoming 2015 season, head coach Robert Johnson announced on Friday.
“We feel this schedule gives us the best opportunity to prepare our teams for success at the Pac-12 and national championships,” said Johnson. “We are looking forward to being able to open the season at home again on Pre’s Trail and of course we are excited to go back to Louisville where our women won their last national title.
