The University of Oregon has established itself as an international brand in the world of athletics, and that brand will only grow this week at the 2015 IAAF World Track and Field Championships which begin Aug. 22 in Beijing, China.
Oregon will have a record 10 current or former athletes representing USA and Canada over the course of the week, with competition ending, Aug. 30. Ducks Matthew Centrowitz (1,500), Sam Crouser (javelin), Ashton Eaton (decathlon), Phyllis Francis (400), English Gardner (100), Jenna Prandini (200), Galen Rupp (5,000/10,000) and Jasmine Todd (100, long jump) will compete for American while Johnathan Cabral (110 hurdles)and Brianne Theisen-Eaton (heptathlon) will compete for Canada.
